Become a volunteer in urban agriculture

On Saturday 22 November 2025, BRUZZ is organising a new “Biggest Spaghetti Battle in the World”, this time to benefit Groot Eiland! ‘BRUZZ chose Groot Eiland to help build a better Brussels for all, where all residents have the opportunity to contribute to an inclusive and productive city.’

A year of self-picking fun

CSA (community supported agriculture) is agriculture borne by the community. As a member of a CSA, you make a commitment for a full crop year and get your share of sustainable, healthy, organically and ecologically grown produce. Harvesting is something you do yourself. In Jette, you are welcome at self-picking farm CourJette for ultra-fresh vegetables and at flower farm FleurAkker for your weekly bouquet. In Ganshoren, Theo provides delicious veggies all year round.

Something's cooking at BelMundo

Every Thursday and Friday evening at BelMundo, you can taste a new menu based on the harvest from our urban vegetable gardens. Our chefs get to work with the local, ultra-fresh and organic vegetables available from Groot Eiland's fields and present you with a delicious monthly menu.
